Gugulethu Mbatha (better known as Gugu-Mbatha-Raw) is an British actor and film actress who became famous after she appeared in the BBC show "Doctor Who" which is which is a British sci-fi TV show. Gugu gained a great deal of fame by appearing in the role of Tish Jones, the sister of the major character Martha Jones, in the series. The audience loved Gugu's bright enthusiasm. As a teenager Handler relocated from the city of Los Angeles, California to explore a career in acting. Handler worked as an actor to help support herself. Handler's ability to write stories came into play as she reached twenty-one. Handler then decided to make a full-time commitment to stand-up comedy. Handler's stand-up career began when she was part of the all-female Oxygen TV show in the hidden camera/practical humor reality series Girls Behaving Unstably. The show ran on air from 2002 until 2005. Handler then started appearing in other programs such as Weekends at the D.L., The Bernie Mac Show, The Practice and My Wife and Kids. Handler was hired for The Tonight Show as a correspondent. Handler's big break occurred in 2006, when she began hosting her program on E! The show was titled Chelsea Handler. The show ran for two seasons. Following the show, Handler performed on the Comedy Central's Hour Stand-Up Comedy Tour in the United States. VH1, Comedy Central Premium Blend (and HBO) have shown her stand-up performances live. She was named to host the MTV's 2010 MTV Video Music Awards in the year 2010.
